What is the difference between horizontal rolling, single hung and casement windows?
Horizontal rolling windows slide sideways and are common in Florida homes with wide openings. Single hung windows have a fixed top sash and a bottom sash that slides up. Casement windows crank outward on a hinge and seal tightly when closed. Fixed windows do not open and maximize light. The right choice depends on your existing opening, egress needs and the look you want.
Do I need a Miami-Dade NOA for an impact window?
In Miami-Dade and Broward, the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, the product needs a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. Elsewhere in Florida a Florida Product Approval is the usual document.
